    Use the Parts tool.

Original wall cut pattern is solid grey.
Cut pattern of part is your other material.

Set the view to show original and parts.

    David, very clever!

Here's another way that isn't quite as flexible: create a new .pat file with both patterns in it. It doesn't work with solid fills and both will end up the same color. For example, we use a concrete and diagonal hatch for precast concrete. So we created a .pat file and copied the diagonal hatch pattern into the concrete hatch pattern, saved as a new one and voila!

Unlike other "create your own .pat" problems (where the answers often involved plugins or learning the arcane art of .pat files), this one is a simple copy-paste.

    Thanks Damon,

We use it in projection view to accentuate marble and tile in bathroom interior elevations but I wouldn't create parts for all my walls just to get dual cut patterns project wide.
