Default Inserting general notes onto sheets from a work (.doc) document

I am having difficulty here inserting the general notes. We are using Autocad 2014 and are cut and pastings the text from the .doc using the windows cut & paste command into the mtext editor. There are some formating issues with the indents and such. However when I dress up the text then end the drawing it actually moves a margin over and makes the note longer.

Just how do I save this note with the dressed up margins so it stays as I placed them?

I can't help with what you are doing now...

But one thing to remember is that AutoCAD is not a word processor... and as such won't always play nice with your pasted stuff from word. I've found that there are add on programs that link and keep formatting nicely. I use AutoWord from Cadig right now, but there are others.

Try Paste Special as AutoCAD Entites. Don't have it open now, but I've done it before. Not sure if rtext will work on a Word doc.

I don't know if this will work in your situation, but we have our general notes set up as blocks that can be inserted with a base point - the less word processor, the better. Good luck to you!
