Default GS122-1: Tie a Grey-Striped Ribbon Round My New Map Tree: Exploring the Ribbon and Other New Functionality in AutoCAD Map

    Instructor: Ron Couillard

Class Description: Don't worry, it's not a musical. The appearance of Autodesk 2010 products looks very different than what they have looked like in the past. Although the Ribbon was introduced with the 2009 products, it was not the focal point of the products as it is with 2010. Map 3D 2010 is no exception to this. To help get you through the learning process, I'll cover the Ribbon Command Locator. To go along with covering the fully integrated Ribbon, this class will dive into the many new features of Map 3D 2010. We will look at the new FDO providers and I'll even mention a few of the free add-on providers to further expand your FDO capability. We will touch on some of the new AutoCAD-specific features that come with Map 3D as well. We will also cover the new survey functionality, such as import/export of ASCII and XML files, new COGO options, and the new Windows® Workflow Framework.
