As a disclaimer, I am very good a running Revit and creating families but I know nothing about creating macros.

Is there a simple way to create a macro that adds the fields, filter, sorting/grouping and formatting for part schedules in assemblies? I have tried to create schedule templates but they only set the appearance parameters.

When writing macros, is there a way to record a set of keystrokes and put that into the command set of the macro.
