    Default DEM files

Have a project that I'm using a DEM file to create a surface. I used "create surface from DEM". The surface came in fine, in the Prospector it shows up as a grid from DEM file......

Is this normal? Are there any other methods to create a surface from a DEM file?

    Default Re: DEM files

There is the old Map3D way of dataconnect to the dem (Raster Connection) Then create a contour file from it as a SDF file then import that into Civil3D as polylines do the property alter query to get them at the correct elevation then use those plines to create a surface. However it may work but the change of errors (elevation) increases with each step.
