    Default Circuiting to Multiple Connectors

Summary: Right now Revit only recognizes the first connector that gets circuited and will only place that circuit in the tag for a device.

Description: Right now Revit only recognizes the first connector that gets circuited and will only place that circuit in the tag for a device. There are many times when a light fixture needs to be circuited to two different circuits. It would be nice if we didn't have to tag the wires to show the circuiting. I would much prefer it if we could just tag the light fixture and have all of the circuits populate instead of just the first one.

Default Re: Circuiting to Multiple Connectors

I agree that electrical needs more core functionality for what we need everyday, and not workarounds. But here is a workaround:

Use one of the Balanced Electrical Connector families that come with your installation. Nest 2 instances into a family (quad/light fixture). Add some parameters for controlling loads, voltage & # of poles (or family type - whichever best suits your workflow). When that's loaded, you can TAB+Select cycle to select that instance, then power & tag as you ordinarily would.
