    Default can you fold a curve

    Using autodesk inventor pro. I am trying fold/flatten a part in sheet metal. the straights I understand but I need to be able to do a curve like the example below.

    Is that even possible in real life? I really don't think so unless you make several cuts along the curve. But I am not a metal worker. Maybe something with experience can chime in.

    yes you can with out making several cuts. I am work on a wing rib using .02 aluminum. the form will be out of wood and you sandwich the sheet metal between the two forms and work (hammer) the metal over the form to shape the part. I need to be able to figure out my "flat" shape to cut the metal out BEFORE shaping the part.

    This is very possible. Use Contour Flange to create the curved edge. It will easily unfold

    Edit: are you trying to unfold all the edges without this being a weldment? maybe I misunderstood
