Parcel Labels
I am labeling parcel segment through the "add parcel labels" and I am selecting the line label style I want yet when I select the parcel segment it is labeling with the "Standard" parcel label style.
It kind of seems like some parenting labeling command can't be over written but I don't know how to fix this.

You will need to explore the Settings tab of Toolspace. There should be a Parcel branch with a Command sub-branch.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
