best practice for construction / general notes that show tag

Hello,
How do you use revit to make general construction notes for residential projects? I would like to create construction notes that include the 'symbol' being referenced. I pulled a pic of google to illustrate what I mean. Is there a neat way for revit to do this?

Right now I am planning on creating a general annotation family, multiple types with custom tag number and comment text, thrown onto a drafting view so that it retains the 'tag symbol.' However, this seems like a work around for my lack of knowledge since it will not be very parametric.
