If AutoCAD doesn't find a particular font it displays and plots the font saved as the FONTALT value. Is Archquik.shx in the font folder in your 2015 Support File Search Path?

yes the is a shx font, it is the directory. 98% of the time it presents correctly, its just every now and then it gets squirrely. also had the same problem with another SHX font. cannot remember the font name. there is no problem with the fonts in autocad 2014.

    What is FONTALT set to?
Mtext and dimensions don't support SHX fonts. AutoCAD uses a substitute TTF for it's old SHX fonts, but Archquik.shx isn't one of them.

If you could attach an example drawing we might be able to help better.

Only un-supported while editing -- once the edits are done the shx _should_ display correctly.

That said, might be time to consider giving up the old-style fonts and use a standard that supports unicode
