    Default Freedom Tower Article in Popular Science

    Here is an article of the Freedom tower in Popular Science magazine.
    No mention of Revit just some interesting stuff about the building and the design.

    What issue? I couldn't find it on their website. They have indexes through last October.

    Judging from the scans you posted, I looks like their own art staff did most of the illustrations. I don't recognize any of the drawings. Like I said in an earlier posting, the whole world is watching this project and it amazes me what judgements people make on second and third hand information.

    Mike,

    A real FUD article isn't it. I don't know if you can talk about these things but...

    1.. What is the expected output of the wind turbines in Kw or % demand?

    2.. With the height of the building there must be some opportunities to use this pressure differential for natural ventilation? With all the glass how are you dealing with HVAC? Are you going for LEED or equiv approval? Sorry 3 questions in one

    Guy

    Hello Mike;

    It is from the April 2005 magazine. Just got it hot off the presses.
    Maybe you guys should steal some of their employees as the illustrations look pretty darn good.
    I wonder what programs they are using.
    What false judgements are you referring to?
    Can you tell us or is it top secret information?

    I carefully avoided using any negative words like "false". What I meant is that everything I was able to read from the scans of this article has been available in the press for some time.

    As for answering specifics about the building, we have released information from time to time on a fairly formal basis. The Wall Street Journal article last July is a good example, and there have been others. These news organizations spoke directly with us.

    Because the schedule for this project is so long, release of information about it is likely to be dragged out over an equally long period of time. I know many people find that frustrating, but we cannot hand out information on issues that haven't been decided. We are still actively in the design process. Things change from day to day.

    Stay tuned. There's a long haul ahead.
