Summary: 3d orbit should be smart enough to snap to the nearest node/object during a 3d orbit. Also, zoom needs to work. I have noticed on parts where an object was selected and capable of rotating, zoom is still completely shot.

Name one instance in the history of drafting where the drafter would want to select the background off in deep space rather than the focused object they are trying to view. 3d orbit should be smart enough to snap to the nearest object during a 3d orbit rather than having to target precisely on the object. I've also noticed that it is a 50/50 when it comes to mspoints. Zoom needs to be overhauled even moreso, since its mechanics are supposed to function just like the pan, but even then you could be precisely over your object and it still zooms to space.
If a drafter would like to select deep space, it should be relatively simple to completely avoid other objects. The odds are in favour of increased sensitivity to object targeting.
