Default XDATA attached to SSI Pipe objects

What happen if I add xdata to SSi piping or HAVC objects? Will the SQL database keep the xdata? Is there a problem adding XDATA ? If so why?

You can add XData to the ShipConstructor entities but the XData will not be stored in the database.

There are no issues with adding XData to ShipConstructor parts but anytime ShipConstructor recreates the part (recreating model/system drawings) or creates production drawings (spool, assembly, arrangement, etc.) the XData will be lost. If you are just updating your model drawings and production drawings you should be Ok.

Ok thanks Dennis- that is a bit clearer. What is the SCXDATA command for? Searching the knowledge base I do not find much information on this tool. No examples for its use - nothing.

SCXDATA displays the XData with a specific XDATA application name and only for specific entities. To be honest the best way to manage XDATA is using the Express Tools which can be installed with AutoCAD or any of it's verticals.
