Default The best way to take a scanned PDF into Reaster design and spit out a DWG

    Good morning,
I have a PDF which was created by scanning a hard copy of a drawing. What would be the best way for me to turn that into a clean Autocad drawing using Raster Design (assuming RD can handle the job)?

Open the PDF in Adobe reader and use the Snapshot tool to copy the image then paste into Raster Design, or in any image editor do a paste then save as a jpg and attach/insert to Raster Design.

Well we can do that but the problem is what do we do beyond that? Apparently the next step is Process Image then Change Color Depth to Bitonal. After that Primitives? What happens next? It's really ridiculous that there is no manual with this product.

If it's the original drawing that was done on paper to start with I would suggest you redraw it in AutoCAD. There's no telling if the original creator used the proper scale, or if the paper expanded/shrunk over time or if the scan is still the original size. If it's only part of the drawing that you need then insert the pdf as an underlay.
