Title: Designer Extraordinaire: Designing 3D Intersections in AutoCAD® and Autodesk® Civil 3D®

    Instructor: Steven Chan

Course Description: This class will introduce you to intersection design on a new and holistic level, one that is highly effective, productive and safety oriented. Learn how to develop comprehensive 3D designs for your intersection projects, taking you from operational requirements to vehicle-turn-based geometry and surface grading—while at the same time giving you the ability to assess safety through conflict points and sight lines analysis—all in the CAD environment. If this sounds too good to be true, there is even more! You will also learn how to evaluate design concepts quickly whether for new construction, reconfiguration, or approach realignment projects. This class will benefit road designers of all experience levels who are keen on a more advanced and effective approach to their intersection designs—one that is truly unique, effective, and bound to make you a designer extraordinaire!
