Default MA318-1V: Stick It Together with Autodesk® Inventor® Weldments

    Session: MA318-1V

Title: Stick It Together with Autodesk® Inventor® Weldments

    Instructor: Bill Fane

Course Description: Run out of nuts and bolts? Then welding your components together may be the answer. You create an Autodesk Inventor weldment to design and document an assembly that does not contain traditional fasteners. Emulating the real welding process, you can add and document pre-weld operations to prepare the components for welding, and post-weld machining operations for finishing and clean-up. Preparation and machining processes do not affect the original components. Creating a weldment enables you to analyze welded assemblies as a single unit, and includes calculations to determine the added mass of welding rod, welding time, and material costs.
