    Completely different code base, so developing 'similar' frunctionality means completely developing it from scratch.
    IIRC NCopy used to copy to the current layer, insterad of importing the layer from the Xref file.

    And to repeat my self, it's an easy enough to code up a LISP routine that accomplishes all that, and include a multiple to get the 'chaining' effect. So I'll never expect Autodesk to put in the effort.

    I think the OP means "chain" as in filleting edges of 3d solids.

    It depends how many lines and if they are connected. Can be as easy as two clicks.
