Changing Cross Reference to Mtext

I was wondering if someone could help me. I am currently running AutoCAD Electrical 2012. There are multiple cross references on certain components which I converted to Mtext. After I convert the cross reference to MText I change the oblique angle to match the settings of the non-converted cross references. Here is my dilemma, every time I run a project wide update the oblique angle in the converted Mtext defaults back to zero. So I have to change the oblique angle after each time I run the Project wide update. Someone, Anyone, Please help me.

I am not an electrical user, so I don't know if this functions differently than vanilla autocad... but, would you problem benefit from the StripMtext lisp routine? http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?157383-Change-Attribute-Properties-within-an-existing-block
or would that not work because it's a linked object?
