Default Feature Line picking up intermediate elevation points.

I have several feature lines I am using to create a new pond. I have also created an existing topo surface that included two feature lines to give an existing ditch more definition.

Here is my problem: when the proposed feature lines for the pond cross the feature line in the ditch, they pick up that elevation data as an intermediate point (shows up as a grey triangle. I have tried deleting the intermediate point, but cannot get rid of them and they are really problematic for my surfaces and grading.

Thoughts on how to get rid of those intermediate elevation points?

move the design featue lines to a different SITE.

Optional: keep your Existing Ground in a separate file, and DREF it into yur design drawing.

As long as they are on the same SITE, they will interact.
