Default window appearance changes from linework to floor plan

In autocad architecture 2015 my windows look different in linework than in floor plans after I xref. Looks like lines below cut plane that are not in the linework. Any help to solve would be appreciated. Only started happening when I started using the sheet sets.

Can you post sample files that demonstrate the issue? I am not certain I fully understand the problem. Are you saying that the Windows appear differently in the file in which they reside, when compared to other files in which that file has been externally referenced? Are you using the same Display Configuration in both files, and viewing from the same view direction? Is the active Display Representation Set the same in both files? Are the settings in the active Display Representation(s) for Windows and Walls the same in both files?
