Projecting Feature line and points to Cross Sections from a Data Shortcut

Is there a way to project points and feature lines from a data shortcut base plan to cross sections?

I believe so... Inside of C3D hit F1 to get your help menu then search "Projected Objects in Section Views" I figured this could do a better job explaining that I could. This talks about objects inside the drawing but a data reference C3D object should work just as well.

I've had time to look at this and I haven't been able to project objects from a data shortcut or the reference plan. I have set up a proposed drawing with a data shortcut to my surface and a xreference to the existing condition drawing. I have cogo points and feature lines in the xreference. I want to use the 2 project objects to get the feature lines and cogo point information into my cross sections but Civil 3D does not see the information to project. Any suggests other then having to copy the information to the proposed drawing?
