Update Serial Number - Network License

Greetings,

We have a new network license file that will be swapped in a few days from now. The serial numbers for perpetual licenses have changed.

Questions:

1. After the new license file is active, will the existing installs of BDS applications update their serials based on the new license file they find on FlexLM?
2. If not, whats the protocol for updating the serial number stored in the application?

I seem to remember once upon a time the answer to question #1 was yes. Only info I'm finding on the interwebs are for Stand-alone serial changes.

For network licensed products, the serial number on the client is irrelevant. If you change the licensing on the NLM server, it will still work for the client without any additional changes. You should be just fine moving forward.
