    Default Text Color

I have brought the contents of an Excel spreadsheet into a DWG. The text comes in as black. Even though I have specified that the contents are ByLAYER. I can't get the text to change to yellow unless I explode the table and explode the Mtext then select everything and change it to the style and color I want.
How do I bring the contents of a spreadsheet into a file and the text is the color I want? I have to change the Row height, Text Style, Justification, blah, blah, blah. It's a pain in the butt.

How did you import it? Copy in Excel and then Paste as AutoCAD entities?

When you say it comes in "black", I presume you mean it comes in color 7 (white on a black/dark background -or- black on a white/light background)

True. If you go into the cell, and select the text, the Text Formatting toolbar will show that the color is hardcoded to color 7, for each bit of text in each cell.

This post covers stripping the property overrides from multiple table cells.

I will have a look at your links. I did find one way around it and that is to change the color of the text in Excel. That does it. The text style still doesn't look quite right though (I did select a specific Text Style once the table was in place).
