    Unhappy raster images invisible

    Hi

We have an autocad 2000 file and for some reason any raster image inserted is invisible. I've checked the layers and everthing is on. The images appear in viewports in layouts but not in model space. ?? I've made copies of the file using wblock but the problem is still there.

We can just copy the entire contents into a new file and insert the images there as a quick fix, but I'm puzzled as to why the images don't appear.

could you post a copy of a file with one of these
invisble images (be sure to include the image

    is this any help

    To hide an image
    Select the image frame.
    Right-click the image.
Choose Image Show Image from the shortcut menu.
To show a hidden image, follow the same steps.

Check the layer properties. Is the layer "assigned" NO PLOT, like defpoints?
Is the image attached to the "defpoints" layer?

    Hope that helps.

    howdy
heres the file (see attachment invimage.dwg) It's a wblock copy and still has the same problem. The file isn't mine (it's a students) so I don't know the history in it's creation.

I haven't included the image. You can insert one of your own - doesn't matter which layer.
I don't get the same options with a right click under image only adjust, clip, transparency and image manager.

    see what you find ??

well all the layer settings look like they are on the default settings..and it doesn't matter which layer (or image) is used. Must be an over-riding setting somewhere.

The issue lies in your page setup/render settings
Change model space to 2d wire frame your image will
    display as expected. Enjoy!
