The office uses a combination of LT2012 & LT2014 at present

I've recently managed to persuade people to start utilising annotative items more within drawings however we are experiencing a glitch with Mtext and Mleader text that may prevent us proceeding.

In certain drawings we are finding that on re-opening drawing (after a few people in the office have worked on it so may be a cross version issue?) that Mtext and Mleader text boxes that we appropriately sized at the scale we are using have shrunk back to only a few characters wide. The result being that all the text that should run over 3 or 4 lines horizontally is now one word per line and stacked vertically all overalapping the next box etc.

Interestingly when switching to a scale which increases the text size the text returns to its correct layout/frame size, albeit larger than we require but when switching to a scale with a smaller text size the text frame retains its incorrect sizing.

All the text frames appear to have dropped to the same width and so I'm confident it is not a user resetting these at that annotation scale.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated
