Default How to setup project wizard

    Hi

I have downloaded a assembly and its related files from Vault, By using Pack and Go option and stored it in the local directory.

Now I need to work on this downloaded file without vault relationship.

But when I try to edit that shows me this is readonly so can't editable.

So, kindly assist what shoukd i need to change in the Project wizard to edit the file locally and save.

    Thanks in advance.

First, be careful on how you use Pack and Go, especially if you ever intend on checking the modified versions of those files back into Vault at some time.
I have seen a lot of companies where Engineers/Designers use pack and go to do conceptual designs then get all scrambled up and confused when they have out of date components and try to check their projects back into Vault.

Now, regarding your question, when a file is checked into Vault, Vault sets the file Read-Only property to true. Only files that have been checked out, or never added to Vault are writeable.
So... you will need to select all of the files in your pack and go and uncheck the Read-Only checkbox.

A simple way to do this, more so when you have multiple directories in your pack and go, is to do the following....
    1. Navigate to your Pack and Go folder in Windows Explorer
    2. In the search box type File: *.ipt OR *.iam
    3. Hold CTRL + A to select all files
    4. Right Click on any file
    5. Uncheck Read-Only
