Hi everyone!
I'm creating a Revit family library and I would like your advice on how to keep .rfa files as light as possible. Every piece of advice is welcome!
Thank you very much.
Take care!

Model only essential geometry - too many families, especially those originating with manufacturers, are severely over-modeled.
Limit any geometric constraints to those essential to govern basic dimensions/shapes.
Minimize the number of shared parameters used in each family.
Use type catalogs if you really feel it necessary to have more than 4-5 different types within a single family.
Avoid nesting families when possible.
Avoid filled regions/extra line types/etc.
If at all possible, limit the number of users with family editing privileges.
Is there any possibility that changing the file name or where it is stored has an influence on the file size?
