Default Exclude item in flie from Navisworks search set

    Hi,

I am having consultants (Arch, Strl, Fire, Mech, Hydr, Elec) export levels for a building level by level so I can clash.

The Architect had an issue with his NWC export from Revit and some "room" zones came through.

Question 1- How do I search and exclude ONLY rooms in the SEARCH criteria, image attached. (please don't suggest using selection sets).

I have tried lots of stuff including ( negate) item and contains "room". (image attached). This works but when I have to de-select "prune below" it still selects the room stuff.

Question 2 -Also, why are the rooms in the selection tree in "level 6" when it is a level 8 export?

You first need to select something. So your first line should be Item Name Contains room. The second line is the negate condition, Item Type is Room
Just do not Negate the first row

    Thanks for your reply dhurtubise,

I have tried what you suggested and I still can't figure out how to get it to work with the 2 lines as I get the same result as if I did it with one negate line. If you could be more specific that would be great.

Whenever I negate in the first line and it seems to always work because I have selected the file to be searched on the left. Unfortunately everything below the negated line is selected. If I select prune below result it does not work?

I would like to post a tiny NWC for you to look at but it is not an allowed file type.
