Default 2017 Inventor .dwg Raster views

I am just starting to use Inventor 2017 and have been an IV user for 8 years. I have an issue when placing a new drawing view, it is automatically set to a raster state. The check box is unchecked I made double sure :) Anyone have any ideas?

Is this a large assembly you are placing? Inventor will do Raster 100% of time while it is processing the views in the background. Eventually it will go precise once it is fully loaded. If you are not seeing this then can you describe your issue a little further? Sometimes it has to do with the actual CPU you have in your computer. If the machine is older than lets say 5-6 years you may have an incompatible processor and this was a known limitation when this functionality was introduced.

Something you can try...Turn off the Background updating on the Drawing Tab of your Application Options. That should stop the rastering altogether, but you will have to wait the full load time to see your drawing view.
