Question Contour Flange Width Extents - Type

Trying to create a contour flange after having drawn a single line element in a sketch.
When I open up the Contour Flange tool I can click on the profile, which it recognizes, but the "Width Extents" Type defaults to " Distance (so it is grayed out).
I would like to be able to use "To From", so I can select a center plane, giving me adaptability should I make any dimension changes later.

    Any help is appreciated.

Without seeing your part, do you have existing surfaces/planes in your sketch to use the "To From" option? Can you post it or something similar?
