After cutting a section or placing an elevation mark on a plan view, it would be nice to be able to set the visibility so certain marks are shown and others aren't. Kinda like a temporary dimension. And if you do turn a mark off then you cant add it to a sheet until you turn it back on, this would act as a safe guard so you don't add dead references onto sheets.
It's nice to be able to cut sections for working purposes only, but you don't want on the printed plan.

Jim Balding has come up with a method for displaying a 'working' section and a 'project' section. The working section marker is orange with a dashed line for the section line, while the project is normal. The orange ones can be moved and played with, as you need to work, while the regular section heads should be 'locked' and remain, because they are used on a project sheet for a specific view.

Also, you can hide section markers temporarily, by right-clicking on them and selecting 'Hide annotation in view". To bring them back, hoover over the ghosted section, right-click, and select "show...."

We have been using this technique for a while now. It works like a charm.

I don't know how I missed that one, being right there on the on screen menu.

Jim's technique with the different colours is great, and have incorporated it into my template.
