Default Invalid feet inch format using 'cal

I was working through a tutorial on the use of the Autocad calculator and I am getting an invalid feet inch format message. The expression is: [@12'6-5/8"+115-3/4"<45] and I have tried several variations and still get the same message. Anyone know why?

    Thanks in advance.

Speaking of having fits - I bet he'll be having one once he learns about the new calculator in acad2006!!!
