    Default autocad 2017

A lot of dwg files are stored on my PC. Some of them I use in different architecture projects. Couple days ago one of the files denied to open - Drawing file is not valid. I can’t understand the source of the error. I need to autocad repair solution. Any advices, please…

Sounds like the file has become corrupted. You do have a backup don't you?

If the .bak file exists, copy that to a different location and rename it wiht a .dwg extension -- see if that will open

Apply commands RECOVER, RECOVERALL in AutoCAD. Moreover try to open .dwg file in other versions of AutoCAD, if this method doesn't help you, then you may use DWG Repair Toolbox. Software is used only in cases, then usual solutions don't work, it is accessible on

As @cadtag said, grab you latest backup file and get back to work.

You'll probably end up spending more time trying to recover the bad file than it will take to get the latest backup file into shape.
