    when in Sheets, unable to use Snaps or even use the align tool.

    wow...every time i post a question...soon after, I figure it out...

    i created a bunch of legends i.e. general notes, construction key, etc. that are boxed in. well, cant use snap on the boxes so i added reference planes which CAN be snapped.

    You can also create a layout grid so you can apply that to individual sheets to give you a reference. Then you can move and align Legends on sheets. I wish you could copy and paste aligned to selected sheets with legends like you can detail groups and schedules. Would make life a lot easier.

    If only Guide Grids (or is it Grid Guides, I can never remember) were rectangular (as opposed to square), we might be able to use them...

    I skip the Guide Grids altogether and create my own in my sheet. I have coordinates marked on the edges (1, 2, 3... along the top, A, B, C... along the side) and a visibility parameter to show/hide the grid. It allows me to align drawings very easily using grids, levels, and ref planes from the views (no way to snap with schedules as far as I know, but ref planes in legends work).
