why is there a white edge to my building against an sky image background? is there a way to remove this white edge?

What material are yo using there? Is there any reflection property assigned?
What settings are you using?
What's the screen shot look like if you turn the sun on and raytrace?
Just some thoughts.

Render - Best - Screen - Exterior Sun only - image background.
material: generic with colored image (.jpg)
sun is on.

cloud rendering image: 3D View 6b.jpg
raytrace (via screen shot to paint program): 3D View 6 raytrace.jpg

dont know how to export the raytrace image to a file.
