Default Graphic Display based on Discipline

When I create a 3D view the view defaults to the Coordination Discipline. When I change the Discipline to Mechanical the settings of the view change in way that is less desirable. See the before and after. The Detail Level remains the same, "Fine" and the Visual Style remains the same, "Shaded with Edges". The Graphic Display Options also remain the same.

Any help would be most appreciated!!!

    This is correct.

Do yourself a flavor and look into the hierarchy of visibility graphics, and learn what the difference between the view discipline is, as the answer you seek lies within those nuggets of truthiness.
