Hello All,

I have a 3DS file that need to be compressed, uploaded to a render farm, and then uncompressed before being rendered. The file has not become to large and will not compress/uncompress successfully. The file has over 4,000 animated vehicles and a 4 mile highway segment. I am wondering if I break the large file up into smaller files and use the XRef Object feature to reference the smaller files into a master file, if this will allow the files to compress and uncompress successfully while uploading to the render farm?

Additionally, I have a lot of trucks with higher poly counts; is there a method that would allow me to reference in one truck model/file into the a master file and have numerous individual animations of that truck. It seems like this could help keep my files size much smaller.
