AutoCAD 2000i menus to AutoCAD 2005

I just installed Acad2005 on my PC and migrated my menus, ect from Acad 2000i. Worked like a charm until I actually made my custom menu the main one. Everything turned to question marks. I guess that is better those d@mn smiley faces. Well I will work that out later.
Now when I go into acad2000i it has totally screwed up my menus. The main menu is okay but my customized MNS (menuload) menus are nothing but black squares. And it says I already have some loaded that are definately NOT loaded.
Has anyone seen this before?

Many things from 2000 will not be a straight switch over. It's a long uphill battle. May I suggest that you seriously consider starting fresh if possible?

Thanks Mike. This looks promising. I really do not want to have to start over as I have a lot of customization in my menus.
