Default How to Plot Meters and scale titleblock to 11x17!

Hi! I have had this problem before and always seem to miss the idea behind proper scaling for Metric on Imperial Tblocks! I have a Model of a site plan and I cannot get any variation of 2.54 to work. Do I need to scale my Tblock to Metric and plot out in imperial! No one I know uses Metric paper for plotting!
    Thanks
    Paul

I would recommend 1:1. Put your title block in paperspace at a scale of 1 drawing unit = 1 paper unit. Then use a viewport to obtain your drawing scale. If any scaling is required for mm it can be done from the plot dialog box

Paper space would be my first choice as well. For a purely model space method, you'll first need your title block at "full size" for whatever units. Even if you are plotting to ANSI sheet sizes there's still metric equivalent values. Like paper space you'll want it in millimeters for metric and inches for imperial. Second you'll need to know what scale you are working with - 1:30? 1:100? That will, in part, define how much to scale the title block by. The other part of scaling is a units factor, whether millimeters vs. inches, or meters vs. millimeters.

Don't get caught up on the size of paper. Think about the sheet size - typically drawings are on ANSI D or ISO A1 sheets, even if they are printed on 11x17.

For argument lets say a 1:30 scale, with millimeters as the units in model space and millimeters for the title block; title block would be at a scale of 30. Changing that a bit, lets say you've drawn in meters; there's now a factor of 1000 so now it's a scale of 0.03.

Thanks! I was able to figure this out again! I had to use an ISO A3 I set my scale factor to 25.4 and plotted to 11x17 and everything was bang on!
