Wall/Roof area reporting.....

There is an area reported back for walls in properties. After a little experimenting I found that is the area of the wall centreline that is reported. It would be very useful if I could get different areas reported back for example the interior and exterior.
I would find it better if the Area reported the location line area as opposed to the wall centre line - that way I could adjust it to report back whatever I needed - the centre of the wall is not important to me for much at all (other than getting a rough area). Also if Revit added the areas up when I selected more than one wall would be good.

We appear to have lost the reporting of Roof areas in 7.0 I am guessing this was not intentional - can we get that back. I used it now and again.

I think you maybe misunderstood what I meant, I used to be able to pick a roof and go to the properties, in there it displayed the area. It no longer does this. It is through the properties box I am not getting a roofs area.
