This is not specific to Revit, but one of our designers is using dual monitors with a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 card. The two days ago he logged in and one of the monitors would not come up. Our IT guys have tried for two days to figure it out but nothing works. When he reboots the two monitors seem to be acknowledged but the right one just will not work. It has no signal to it from what the light shows.

Anyone have an idea or the same kind of problem. Any help would be appreciated. By the way he is running Windows XP.

He and IT either switched the cable from the working monitor to the non working one or switched the cable of the no working monitor to the location of the working one. If they did the first they might have missed a cable problem right?

I would also ask this question here:
    http://newsgroup.netwings.ch/autodesk.autocad.html
    -select digitize-display newsgroup
That newsgroup has some very hardware savvy people.

Well it is not the cable. Thanks also for the other discussion group. I posted there also.

If it's not the cables or the monitors - the next thing I would try is to remove and reinstall the video driver.

I have had a similiar problem with my NVIDEA QUADRO card. I have been using it to drive my monitor and clone the image to my projector .
I belieeve this is a software setup issue, and I'm trying to resolve it.
On the PNY web site, all drivers and manuals are down load able. I think my problem may stem from a conflict between the XP dual monitor setup and the NVIDEA dual monitor setup software.
If anyone out there has been through this particular problem and knows the answer, please lend a hand...

The problem I started this thread with got fixed days later and alot of windows work. Something went goofy with XP. That doesn't help you much.
