I am using Inventor 2015 and my colleague is using 2014. I am having trouble sharing files with him, his version of inventor does not want to open my files, "Error in reading RSe stream".
I Know you cannot save to an older version for various reasons. One of them is that you might not be able to make changes to parts when using an older version to a never version saved file.
the only reason we want to exchange is for cnc router cutting purposes. I'm also talking about sketches only, not even extruded parts.
My question is, is it possible to open a sketch (ipt.) made in 2015 on, a 2014 version of Inventor?

As far as I am aware no, we have always used step files if we have to go between inventor versions
