Default Occupancy Sensors as Lighting Control

Is there a way to get my ceiling-mount occupancy sensors to behave as the main light switch for the selected fixtures? As in, most rooms have wall mount combo switch-sensors, so they connect perfectly to the light fixtures as a switch system. I cannot get the same thing to happen for plain old ceiling mount sensors without a physical switch someone would press upon entering or exiting the system. I have already tried to edit the ceiling mount sensor's family to make it a lighting fixture, but I still cannot create switch systems for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated-- our office has promised the client we'll do this entire building in Revit and I'm stuck on lighting already.

you want the ceiling occ sensor family to be a Lighting Device category. then it will function the same as a wall switch, and you'll be able to assign a Switch ID to it and connect it to a group of fixtures as it's switch.

Thank you! I had to change the family type to Lighting Device and the part type (under parameters) to "switch," THEN it worked.
