Default Annotative Blocks with Attributes Huge in 2018

I have an annotative block with multiple lines of attribute text that I've used since 2012.
In 2018, when I open any drawing that has these blocks in them, they're huge!
I checked the annotative scales and they only have one scale (1:50) which is correct.
They weirdest part is that when I do an audit and regen...they're fixed....Until the next time I open the same drawing.
That's right, even when audit fixes them...they are huge again the next time I open the drawing. Any drawing.
I've attached pictures of the normal block and the one that is huge when a drawing is opened.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Were you ever able to resolve this issue? I am having the same problem, and have found the same as you, that an audit and regen fixes it...until the next time I open it. Would appreciate any solution you have found. Thanks!

I'm all of a sudden having the same issue, and only on certain scaled blocks. Does anyone have any ideas?
