    Default Technical Illustration

Since the untimely death (or timely as the case may be) of Publisher, I have been looking for a replacement. Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative package that can maintain associativity to Inventor files?

    TIA

I know some users in Autodesk's Inventor forum use 3DS Max. I've never used it, so I don't know about file associativity.

I have been using Inventor Studio for a few years now. It does well with animations, but there is a bit of a learning curve. Never used Publisher so I can't offer a comparison, unfortunately.

Have ya looked at the IPNs in Inventor 2017 or 2018? Contains a lot of the functionality of Publisher. It's still a work in progress.

I use ipn's alot, so I am familiar with the functionality. What I am looking for is a package similar to Publisher, to create process/assembly instructions, that will sync with the Inventor data. For those that use 3ds Max for this, can you describe the workflow, or point me in the right direction?
