Dynamic Scale bar

does anyone have a dynamic scale bar that will change size when you change the viewport scale?

Yes, I've been meaning to make one so I can't share a block or anything, but this is doable through fields. You can run a field command > set Field Category to objects > Select the viewport > Set to standard scale and you can get a 1" = X' or however you have it set up.

That was the first dynamic block I created years ago. Not as good an idea as I thought it would be. Since the size covers a larger area at different scales it needed to be in a different location for a 1:20 viewport vs a 1:40 one. My scale blocks were created with matching layers like Scale20 for the 1:20 scale. By keeping the scales and the matching sized North Arrow blocks on the matching scale layers it's easy to freeze non-matching scale layers.
