Here's some help links for quick properties: http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/20...k%20properties
You may need to customize the CUIX To Set the Object Types and Properties to Display on the Quick Properties Palette to set which properties to display of which objects.
Thanks Tom, i will give that a try.....
is it possible it is off screen somewhere? if so, i do i find it and bring it back.
As a test....
From the command prompt, type in QUICKPROPERTIES, then select an entity.
Does it appear this way?
Also, run the command DSETTINGS, click on the Quick Properties tab.
Review the settings there.
Change the palette location to cursor dependent if you think it's currently appearing off the screen.

thanks rkmcswain, i will try that. not at my workstation today
it must have been offscreen. changing it to cursor dependent brought it back.
thanks
@rkmcswain - as usual, you are a hero.
I was having a difficult time finding the setting. The Drafting Setting> Quick Properties tab is hidden when you open up DSETTINGS, I was blowing past it.
Cursor Dependent - it's just continually underfoot. I survived most of 35 years of CAD without it, (I should probably try to embrace it, huh?)
As a reference, here is the stock OOTB DSETTINGS dialog.
The circled object has to be one of the worse UI objects every invented.
Why not just make the dialog wider, or split the command into two commands, or something other than HIDING UI elements?
