    Default closed alignment

Is it possible to have a closed alignment? i.e. i want to create a corridor for a small parking lot with a center island.

i plan to use a curb & gutter assembly around the island and the outer perimeter of the the parking area and create a corridor and top surface.
i will have an alignment around the perimeter and a separate alignment around the island.

I know in the newer versions, you can use a feature line as the baseline for a corridor.

Good question. Are you going to be stationing objects/points off this alignment?
Consider what happens in the area where the end is near the beginning.
Labels will pick up the station on the alignment point closest to the point, which may not be the part of the alignment you want.

Consider the labeled point in the image below. (The alignment loops around from the left edge of the image clockwise to the top center)
If that point is a feature off of the horizontal part of the alignment, it's station might be 1+05.xx
But since it's closer to the vertical segment, it gets labeled 10+96.xx

i don't think i'll need to do any stationing and offsets. i just need the alignment to create a corridor using a curb/gutter assembly for the parking lot.
the only labeling may be spot elevations and/or slope

thanks for the info. didn't think about how it might label stationing.

If you are creating a surface from this corridor, be aware closed loops within corridors do not allow the shrinkwrap boundary to function as you expect. I would use multiple corridors (as needed) to create a site wide surface.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

If you have a very tiny misclose can help for me 1mm, the other to be aware of you must have a +v -ve grade match at the two end points its pretty easy to get a different answer at the two ends.

My alignment is a polyline that is closed, therefore sta 0+00 is also sta 500+05.15 I only want the 0+00 to show up but it automatically also shows the last station, not sure how to fix this.

Edit your alignment labels. There is a place for geometry labels where you can select which geometry points get labeled.

Hold down the CTRL key and select the label. In the properties window there is a place to set the Visibility to False.
