    Default Surface Mask

Does a Surface Mask perform the way a Boundary would?

I have three streets that enclose an area within a townhouse development. I have an outside boundary enclosing the whole proposed grading surface generated by a network of baselines of a Corridor Model.

Now I am wanting to do my volume calcs and I want to know if the mask that has been turned of for the visual example below is acting as a boundary for the TIN as well or is it just covering the contour lines?

A Surface Mask does not remove the surface below the mask. It only prevents it from displaying.

I would suggest splitting your corridor into two or more corridors. A combined corridor will create an island. This island is not removed from the surface by adding a dynamic shrink-wrapped boundary.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
