What aspect of the profile are your using? Remember, profiles are different from profile views. I state that as users in my office forget that all the time.
Have you assigned a profile label set to the profile?
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

well it was a quick profile. i'm gathering they don't label like true profiles.
i'v since created an alignment and generated a profile and profile view and was able to get the results i was looking for.
do you know of any tutorials that would be of help in labeling profiles?
thanks for the reply
HI you can label the quick profile. select the profile you should get the context sensitive tab on the ribbon select the depth label edit that style for grades
i finally found that. who would think to look under "depth" for grades or slopes....LOL
I have a question about labeling profiles, maybe one of y'all can help me out. I'm trying to label segments of a profile across multiple profile views. Essentially I'm using profiles as my pipe material instead of pressure pipes. The label style I've found in the profile labels, labels the entire length of the profile and places those numbers in multiple random locations. I tried creating a new style from scratch using the component editor and added "distance between point1 and point2, but it doesn't seem to have a leader in a dragged state, nor will it update the segment length if and when it changes. Maybe there isn't such an animal.
TIA, R
